Our counseling services are offered by a former teacher with 21 years of experience in teaching and six years in counseling. Margy Erskine offers individual (working through divorce, sibling rivalry, bullying), small group (discussing anger management, friendship concerns, family situations), and class counseling (working on Lifeskills related to drugs, drinking, smoking, bullying, relationships, manners, conflict resolution). She also encourages families to work with her on family issues.

Ms. Erskine also has chosen several role models who serve on her Welcome Committee. This committee is responsible for welcoming new students to our school by taking them on a mini tour of our campus. Each week she holds drawings for “Caught Doing Something Right.” This is an opportunity for staff and students to recognize someone who is setting a good example. Their name goes into a weekly drawing for a prize. Ms. Erskine has backpacks filled with supplies ready to offer to any student who isn't able to get a backpack otherwise. One of Ms. Erskine's strengths is helping teachers with classroom management as well as offering counseling to teachers on challenging days.
